Bederman Psychiatry PLLC focuses on longitudinal, comprehensive psychiatric care for adults and adolescents with eating disorders. All appointments are virtual and available to patients in NY, NJ, or CT.
Treatment philosophy combines the critical understanding of medical and psychiatric presentations, symptoms and consequences of eating disorders, medication management, and a strong psychotherapeutic alliance. Additionally, identification and treatment of co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses is an essential component of eating disorder treatment.
Eating disorder treatment requires a multidisciplinary approach, Bederman Psychiatry PLLC can work directly with your family and other involved parties (school, athletic coach), dietitian, psychologist or therapist (individual, family), and physicians.
Treatment Structure:
Patients should expect a 2 hour intake appointment, allowing for review of eating disorder history and other medical and psychiatric history, and possible family meeting.
45 minute follow-up sessions will include medication management and family meetings.
Eating disorder treatment is not always linear, and patients sometimes require escalation to a higher level of care. Inpatient or residential treatment may be recommended.
Fees:
Hourly rate: $850
Intake appointment: 1-2 hours, $850 - $1500
Follow-up appointments: 45 minutes, $625
